Hexadice is a strategic puzzle game that takes the satisfying logic of merge games and reimagines it on a hexagonal grid. Players are presented with a sequence of dice and must place each one onto the hex board one at a time. When two or more adjacent dice show the same face value, they automatically merge into a single dice with the next value — 1s become 2s, 2s become 3s, and so on, all the way up to 6 and beyond with special dice.
The hexagonal grid is what makes Hexadice genuinely original. Each cell has six neighbours rather than four, opening up far more merge opportunities and chain reactions than a standard square grid would allow. A single well-placed dice can trigger a cascade of merges across the entire board, sending the score skyrocketing in a deeply satisfying chain combo.
The game is over when the board fills up with no possible merges remaining, so every placement decision carries weight. The tension between placing dice quickly for points and playing conservatively to keep the board clear gives Hexadice an elegant strategic depth that keeps players returning to beat their high score.
